Job Description:

Lead innovative product development projects, quality improvements and cost savings, to drive profitable growth and business success. Primary focus areas include product and process improvement, improving efficiencies in product design and plant execution, and taking formula/spec development from ideation through commercialization. Demonstrate excellence in project planning, execution and timing through project evaluation and use of resources available to shorten the stroke in completion of projects. This position provides broad exposure to operations, marketing/business teams, finance, sourcing and other internal and external partners, providing R&D senior technical leadership on cross functional teams, and strongly contributing to overall function potential -- will be directly accountable for technical development and implementation as part of cross functional project team, translating customer needs into relevant product design elements meeting costs, quality and regulatory requirements. Initiate programs to keep the plants current in ingredients, processing and packaging. Demonstrate a strong technical and business understanding of the competition, suppliers and emerging technology.



Requirements:

* MS (will consider a BS degree with 8+ years of experience) Food Science, Food Chemistry or related.
* 6+ years of experience in food and/or beverage industry. Experience with a variety of beverages is preferred – carbonated, still beverages or distilled spirits a plus.
* Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills. Strong working knowledge of lab operating procedures. Strong understanding of the interaction and use of related R&D disciplines such as sensory, process engineering, packaging development.
* Strong communication skills - oral and written.
* Ability to travel globally – travel approx. 20-40%.
