Job Description:

Work on new product development, existing product improvement projects ad technical service tasks, supervise technicians, serve on multifunctional teams and serve as a technical resource. Develop new products, line extensions and product renovations from concept to launch. Apply new and emerging ingredients and technologies to project work. Produce samples for internal and external presentations. Work on existing product improvement projects to optimize attributes such as quality, value, profitability. Assist in the training of technicians (serve as a mentor/teacher), assign work, check results and control cost. Represent the company at scientific, product, equipment, university meetings and expositions.

Requirements:

* BS or MS Food Science or related.
* 5 + years of experience developing food products from initial concept thru to production including scale up --experience with trial runs and troubleshooting the process in the plant.
* Ideal product experience would be entrees, value added meat and poultry items, seafood and breaded foods.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
