Job Description:

We are looking for a candidate that is curious and creative, self-starter and self directed. This is a high level R&D position. You will be developing ingredients for application to customer’ products in the dairy area including beverages. The ingredients can affect function as well as flavor and appearance. Responsibilities include creative product development, excellent product development support for the customer, commercialization of products (understanding of processes and operations for manufacture), strong understanding of consumer and general sensory testing, including it’s application to product development. Plan and lead project teams, defining and assessing of project requirements, designing and managing experiments. Lead dairy support for customers; validate performance against corporate business goals – develop and manage customer relationships at all levels. Some travel is involved.

Requirements:

*MS or PhD Food Science with 10 years of experience or BS Food Science with 15+ years of experience. Experience should include: knowledge of dairy industry and key competitors, food and flavor ingredients, manufacturing process, quality assurance programs and food regulations.
*Several years of experience developing products from beginning to commercialization. Must have project management experience – high level of responsibility.
*Strong verbal and written communication – will be dealing with personnel and customers of all levels – able to present ideas and projects in a clear and concise format.
