Job Description:

Lead ingredient design with product development teams from the early development stages.  Design information systems to efficiently capture and communicate important rheological interactions and characteristics for ingredients.  Engage with internal and external resource to advance technical product development through scale-up and provide technical expertise to support existing business in relevant areas.  Lead product development projects, driving establishment and coordination of cross-functional, multi-disciplinary project teams with engineering, analytical, food applications, sensory, product design and other technical teams.



Requirements:

*PhD Chemistry, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science.
* 5 – 10 years experience at a food or food ingredient company with broad background in ingredient design for foods preferably from enzyme modification, physical processing (spray drying, blending, etc.), fermentation to produce food ingredients or natural products extraction.
* Ability to apply fundamental knowledge to new product development.
* Must have relevant computer skills including Microsoft Office programs.
* Strong communications skills – both written and verbal.
