Principle Scientist Materials Code: Location: Call us. Job Description: Lead ingredient design with product development teams from the early development stages. Design information systems to efficiently capture and communicate important rheological interactions and characteristics for ingredients. Apply rheology techniques to ingredient prototypes and systems to allow rapid development of highly functional texturing ingredients. Plan and execute lab work to design ingredients, supervise and mentor junior scientist and technician and planning project resources.
* PhD Chemistry, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science. * 5 10 years experience at a food or food ingredient company with broad background in rheology with wide variety food - biochemical, fermentation, starch, low-carbohydrate food ingredients and industrial ingredients derived from renewable resources/materials. * Experienced in particle size, electron microscopy and other physical methods is a plus. * Ability to apply fundamental knowledge to new product development. * Must have relevant computer skills including Microsoft Office programs. * Strong communications skills both written and verbal.
