QA Specialist Code: Location: Northeast Job Description: Provide support for Quality Control, assist in QA department role in consumer complaints, raw material and finished product quality at contract manufacturers, co-packers and primary ingredient suppliers. Assist with local, state and federal compliance including but not limited to FDA’s, DSHEA, GMP’s, USDA. Assist with R&D research sample supply and retention, new label information and raw material testing. Participate in internal audit program. Ensure documentation and operations meet established requirements of cGMP’s, internal SOP’s and company policies. Requirements: * BS Food Science, Biology, Microbiology or related. * 5+ years of progressive quality experience, preferably in nutraceuticals or OTC. * Strong working knowledge of HACCP, FDA, GMP’s, USDA, SOP’s, auditing principles and process control. * Strong computer skills.
