QA Supervisorr Code: Location: Midwest Job Description: Position will report to the Plant QA & Technical Manager and may directly supervise employees in the QA lab. Responsibilities to include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work, etc. May be assigned to analytical labs, microbiology labs or both. Test and analyze sample products, adjusting formulas and processes based on results. Prepare test solutions, compounds and reagents for use by lab personnel in conducting tests. Investigates complaints on existing products and responds to vendor or customer. Analyze, resolve or assist workers in solving work problems. Maintain time and testing records and report monthly. Participate in other plant teams and programs such as aged inventory control team, self inspectors team, HACCP team or others as assigned. Requirements: * BS degree Food Science, Biology, Microbiology or Chemistry. * 2+ years of QA food manufacturing industry experience. *Strong working knowledge of allergens, USDA, HACCP, GMP's, auditing and good computer skills. (AIB Sanitation Procedures would be a plus!). *Strong communications skills..
