Job Description:

Responsible in conducting research projects leading to the development of new food products from concept through commercialization or product modifications. Solve technical problems related to the development, manufacturing and modification of the food products and processes in the plant. Perform troubleshooting and product and process audits on all products in the plant. Provide technical input and assistance in regulatory and labeling, nutritional and packaging. Plan and complete assigned projects leading to the development and implementation into production of new or revised products, including the training of plant production personnel. Record, collates, evaluates and interprets experimental data and makes appropriate recommendations.

Requirements:

* MS or BS Food Science, Chemistry or related.
* 6+ years processing experience in frozen or shelf stable (canned) foods. Experience with value added poultry, seafood / fish or beef is a plus.
* Experience with trial runs and troubleshooting the process in the plant.
* Enjoys working in the plant solving processing problems…having a can do, flexible, positive attitude.
* Able to independently coordinate all aspects of a project.
* Strong communication skills.
* 50% travel time – Asia, South Pacific and South America –staying 2-3 weeks at a time.
* Preferably Bilingual.
