The position is responsible for the regulatory compliance of a diverse product line with the applicable rules and regulations of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. You'll develop and review technical label copy. Take the lead as the subject matter specialist as you apply FDA/USDA regulations and its standards and principles of nutrition and food science in close concert with department managers, corporate legal, and other appropriate resources. Your compliance knowledge will include recipes (assure formulas and ingredients comply with government regulations and company policies, obtain any required registrations or approvals); labeling – review and approve label artwork and content and ensure adherence to all applicable rules and regulations. Review and approve nutrition facts panels and nutrition claims and ensure adherence to all applicable rules and regulations. Provide regulatory support to manufacturing, marketing, quality analysis, research and development, sales, customers and vendors.

Requirements:

* Minimum Bachelor of Science degree.
·* 3-5 years of progressive regulatory experience (consumer goods).
·* Current knowledge of USDA and FDA guidelines and regulations.
·* Labeling experience with nutrition, USDA and FDA.
·* Computer literate.
·* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
·* Strong interpersonal skills.
·* Detail oriented.
·* Self-motivated
