Job Description:

Responsible for planning and purchasing assigned materials to ensure supply. Balance the objectives of maximum product availability with strategic inventory initiatives – products may be produced at multiple sites, or purchased from key suppliers and replenished to manufacturing plants. Monitor raw material and packaging supply levels to ensure that they are sufficient to support production forecasts - reorder point planning, product allocation, managing inventory turns, capacity planning, product availability/fill rate, creating production, purchase orders, vendor management, etc. Procure product packaging and conduct shrink analysis of packaging materials.

Requirements:


* BS Food Science or related.
* 5-7 years of planning experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment
* Experience with commodities and an understanding of raw material and market costs.
* Extensive experience in the use of formal planning systems.
* Must have relevant computer skills including Microsoft Office programs.
* Strong communications skills – both written and verbal.
