Sensory Scientist Code: Location: Midwest Job Description: Develop and execute test plans to generate learning needed for product design. Create appropriate sensory evaluation methodologies – analytical tests, sensory panels, consumer studies. Statistically analyze and interpret panel data, prepare and present clear and actionable reports to Management, recommend future activities in the context of business objectives and goals. This position will apply knowledge of food systems, the human senses and statistical models to describe and quantify the sensory differences between food products and ingredients and to optimize products for maximum consumer acceptance. Requirements: * BS Chemical Engineering preferred. * 3-5 years experience in a Sensory Evaluation position in the Food Industry (Panel Leadership a plus). * Strong computer skills - Microsoft Office and statistical analysis software. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Solid knowledge of statistical analysis techniques, including experimental design and optimization. .
