Develop and implement sourcing strategies for organic raw materials to support the long term growth and expansion of the company domestically and internationally.  Maintain steady source of packaging to support the company’s manufacturers.  Work closely with production planning on long-term ingredients and packaging forecasting and contracting requirements.  Publish weekly and monthly reports showing inventory levels for all raw materials and packaging at all locations including contract manufacturers, suppliers, company’s warehouses and in transit.  This position requires working closely with suppliers, brokers, processors and a team of contract manufacturers to ensure an efficient supply chain.   It also requires regular communication with R&D and QA teams to ensure raw materials meet or exceed standards.

Requirements:

·  BA or BS Degreed.

·  10 years of experience in procurement within the Food Manufacturing Industry or CPG companies.  Prefer experience with food related ingredients and packaging (pouches, caps, inner cartons and master cases).

·   Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation and HACCP plans.

·   Strong analytical and computer (ERP familiarity and Excel proficiency).

·   Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·   Strong interpersonal skills, detail oriented and self-motivated.

·    Travel – 10%.
