Sr. Food Technologist

Job Description:

Provide technical leadership and excellent customer relationship management while possessing excellent formulation and R&D capabilities to effectively support both internal and external customers. Complete product development projects (concept through commercialization) within the required timelines and specifications for both new and existing products. Provide "scale up" support to assure a successful transition to product commercialization. Work with customers and take appropriate action to implement agreed upon objectives and to communicate with internal business partners. Coordinate and conduct training for internal employees to support the launch of new products or the upgrading of older procedures. Represent the company on supplier visits, conventions and conferences.

Requirements:

*BS Food Science or related, with 4+ years of product development or applications development experience with excellent customer relation skills.
*Development experience with the following is highly desirable: fruit preserves, fillings, spreads, jams or other bakery ingredients, fudges, caramels, gum, starch, pectin based textural systems and reduced sugar applications.
*Strong computer skills.
*Excellent communication - both verbal and written.
*Some travel.
