Sr. Product Development Scientist

Job Description:

We are looking for someone with a diverse background, ingredient functionality, nutrition knowledge, labeling laws, etc. Must have ability to lead projects – with a thorough understanding of ingredient interaction and functionality. This candidate should be able to work on multiple projects in a fast paced environment - -organizing projects and prepare reports including: project objectives, progress, technical formulations, customer data sheets, etc. We are looking for individuals with knowledge of pertinent food processes, regulatory food guidelines and sensory testing.



Requirements:

* BS Food Science or related field.
* 15 years of product development experience. Experience in baking, extrusion, confectionary, beverages.
* Solid understanding of food regulations and labeling requirements, along with basic knowledge of nutrition and implications to product development.
* Strong and supportive team player.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills – will have contact with wide range of people – scientists, health professionals, sales/marketing, operations, regulatory, etc.
