R&D Flavor Scientist Code: Location: Midwest Job Description: We are looking for someone to lead in flavored coffee and coffee additives development – develop, validate and implement new flavor systems. Oversee external contract with flavor work, support regulatory and safety issues and quality control. Develop specifications, formula cards and product making instructions. Communicate with process engineers, flavor experts, packaging and marketing specialists to resolve problems. Requirements: * MS Chemistry (Flavors), will consider a BS in Chemistry (Flavors). * 7+ years experience as a flavorist with a food manufacturing company with product development in beverages and product knowledge of flavors, food ingredients, processing, packaging and nutrition. * Must have strong communication skills – both verbal and written – need to be able to interact with people from a range of disciplines and locations, both customers and employees. * Must have professional flavor credentials and flavor society participation. * Excellent data and people management skills.
